Primary Position Duties:
As a SimplyPEO Payroll Champion, will oversee and supervise the organization’s payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
This fast-paced role includes:

Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions.

Act as a manager to establish and lead payroll team initiatives that improve processes, policies or procedures.

Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates and effective communication of clients’ expectations and needs.

Work with third party service providers (payroll/system of record, timekeeping, pay cards, etc.) and software to optimize delivery of these services to our clients.

Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, advising management on needed actions.

Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the department

Interface with staff to identify and resolve system issues.

Document workflows while looking for continuous improvement.

Intermediate computer experience, as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.

Self-motivated and able to perform job responsibilities with a minimum of supervision.
Education or Skills:
-
BA Preferred or five years in a similar role

Payroll, SHRM, Risk, Insurance licensed candidates are a plus
-
Proficient in working within CRMs and ticket systems (Hubspot)
